Who are the Aquamerons?

The aquamerons are a semi-aquatic, endemic species who live on a huge tropical island. they have traits specially adapted for the environment, and some may use magical artifacts that have washed up near their home turf. at the moment, not much is known about their society.

Anatomy

Aquamerons have thin, agile bodies with powerful legs that allow them to run very quickly. Most aquamerons have antennae, which help with picking up changes in the environment, such as in the weather or underwater, and in dark narrow spaces to feel around. they have wide, huge, expressive eyes that help with seeing in the dark and also with body language. Behind their seemingly small mouths, they can actually open their mouths quite wide and have lots of teeth that have a powerful bite to them. one of the prominent traits is their huge tails; those tails store a lot of nutrients, muscle, and fat, which allows them to survive for a long time without food. The tail also helps for balance and for buoyancy in water.
